Despite the fact that the Government attempts to claim that NHS dentists are more freely available nowadays, in reality, when you try and hunt such a provider down, you are going to be very disappointed. Trust me, I speak from very personal and annoyed experience here!
Most people are forced to accept a dental practionner that has the outright audacity to charge you a similar rate to lawyers, even though their studies would never begin to match such a profession. This is a very frustrating concept and one that is forcing people to seek a cheaper alternative elsewhere.
If you are looking for dentistry abroad , there are a few things that you really should bear in mind. Firstly, do not go for the very cheapest countries; in other words, third world countries, as this would only ever be inviting trouble.
Look for a country that is definitely in the first world and renowned for the same level of standards as the UK; if not better. France, Germany and Belgium are some excellent ideas here, although dentistry rates will vary considerably.
Eastern European countries will offer even cheaper prices for dentistry work - that is a definite fact. However, be very careful, even in these countries, as health and hygiene standards can and do fall below an acceptable level at times. Do some research before you travel abroad and check out the business premises before you go ahead and reserve an appointment.
